The façade of the building and interior topographic design elements were inspired by our love of the outdoors, a desire for the newness of adventure, and the beauty of the surrounding Smoky Mountains.

To truly honor the beauty and handmade heritage of eastern Tennessee and express an appreciation for craft, Elkmont committed to utilizing local craftspeople to create all of the artful details you find inside and out of Elkmont Exchange. These details can be seen in the custom bar top laden with river rocks, the beautiful railings, and stunning chandelier, among many other key design elements.

These local artisans, along with several others, worked together to create Elkmont Exchange. The building was honored by their handiwork and received several honors.
